Standing majestically on a headland overlooking the Arabian Sea, Bekal Fort in Kasaragod is the largest and best-preserved fort in Kerala. Shaped like a giant keyhole rising from the roaring ocean surf, Bekal was built over 350 years ago by the Keladi Nayakas and later fortified by Tipu Sultan.
